Wow, what happened? Am I in the right place? asked the interlocutor while gazing at the group's website. Of course you're in the right place, answered the writer in the manner of a wise sage. I mean, what's with the name change? I thought you were Winslow Writers. The writer was happy to answer: Four of us have formed a new organization, Oyster Seed Salon. The Salon welcomes guest writers on Sunday mornings by appointment for caring critique and knowledge-sharing. We hope to host workshops, too, and will be publishing a new anthology of short stories set on Bainbridge Island to follow up the first one we published as Winslow Writers. And we're welcoming submissions for consideration. The interlocutor had been thinking about Universal Basic Income and National Popular Vote, but upon noticing a break in the writers stream of words said, Cool! I love Paul Brians' peely madrone picture. We do too, said the writer. His photos are as essentially Bainbridge as our Salon.
